The Trust has Partnered with AmWins Group Benefits to Offer New Products to Members provided by The Hartford. These products are available directly through the Trust or through your broker.

Employee Paid Voluntary Products
We have negotiated special pricing and features for each product.  Employers and employees can select one, two, or all three of the following coverages for themselves, their spouse and their family.  

  • Accident Insurance
    Quoted plan includes 24 hour coverage, most plans only include off-work hours
    Pays out for each "instance" of related follow up visits, most plans do not
  • Critical Illness
    $50 credit towards annual premium for completing health screening each year
  • Hospital Indemnity Insurance
    Pre-existing condition exclusion waived

The Sales Process

These products will be sold through Connecticut Healthcare Insurance Services, Inc. (CHIS), a subsidiary of the Workers' Compensation Trust and a fully operational insurance agency.  Brokers will be allowed to participate in the sales process. Members may also apply for coverage directly through CHIS.  The quoting, sales presentation and enrollment process will be jointly handled by AmWins and The Hartford.
