Loss Control Services
The Trust has provided loss control services to self insured clients for over twenty years. With a staff of six, our Senior Loss Control Consultants hold several designations and certifications including; Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Sanitarian (RS), Certified Forklift Operator Trainers, 501 Certified trainers in OSHA Standards for General Industry, and National Safety Council Defensive Driver Trainers.
All services are customized to meet the needs of the client. The following is a sample of our services:
Risk Assessments are conducted in order to provide a baseline of your current programs. Assessments begin with a loss trending analysis, followed by a review of policies and procedures, interviews and discussions with managers, review of training content and records and on-site physical inspections. A detailed plan of action is then developed and presented to management which provides recommendations to further enhance your safety program.
In order to keep you OSHA compliant, our staff can provide the following services:
- 10 hour certification course OSHA Standards for General Industry
- Mock OSHA inspections
- Assistance with closing conferences and citation abatement if inspected by CONN OSHA

Loss Control Programs & Training
The Trust has several sample policies and programs. We can provide Train-the-Trainer training or train your employees directly. We customize training to fit your needs, and your timeframe. Training can be done at your facility or at our state of the art training facility in Wallingford. Below are just some of the programs that are available.
The Trust is a certified training center in Connecticut authorized to teach the National Safety Council DDC4 training program.
There are seventeen (17) onsite driver training programs which include but are not limited to: “Coaching the Van Driver III”, “Coaching the Experienced Driver III”, “Safe Winter Driving”, “Backing Safety”, “Driven to Distraction”, “Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator II (Police, Fire, Ambulance) and, “Driven to Distraction I and II”
