Patient handling continues to be a “Top 5 Cause of Loss” for Trust members. Studies have consistently shown that a successful Safe Patient Movement and Handling program decreases employee injuries. During this workshop, we will be going back to basics; policy development process, identification of employee training opportunities, and resources to sustain the policy within your organization. At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees will walk away with a site-specific Safe Patient Handling policy that is ready to be implemented in your organization, information to help you reduce these types of losses, and a customized program that will have a positive impact on employee safety throughout your workplace.
