This course is designed to help insurance producers to identify and overcome many of the coverage gaps, exclusions, limitations and uninsured exposures their clients face by discussing circumstances that might create an atypical exposure or a need for additional insurance beyond that provided by a standard policy. Measures that can be used to eliminate this coverage gap by insuring or otherwise managing the exposure will be covered.
This course will address the following types of marine boating classifications: yacht, small boats, mega yachts, classic boats, charter insurance and personal watercraft. Coverages to be reviewed include: liability, physical damage, medical payments loss settlement options, personal property and towing assistance and underinsured boat and pollution liability. The course will include the review of the questions and reasons for the marine survey requirements of marine underwriters. The Inland Marine portion will focus on commercial and personal inland market forms from the perspective of the inland marine application and coverages.
