Joey Barbera

Vice President, Loss Control Services

Joey is a highly motivated, dedicated, experienced and recognized expert in loss prevention and enterprise risk management, having over 22 years of experience in the field.

He began his risk management career at Housing Authority Insurance Group (HAIG) as a Senior Risk Control Associate.  He most recently worked at Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency (CIRMA) where for the past 17 years he furthered his skills and credentials.  He managed a team of loss control professionals charged with reducing employee injuries and creating a safe workplace for their clients. 

Joey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Connecticut State University   He was a Volunteer EMT for the Cromwell Fire Department and holds numerous certifications including Public Housing Manager, School Security Consultant, and is an Accredited POST-Council Defensive Driving instructor. He also has earned his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and holds a property & casualty adjuster license.
