Patient handling injuries are one of the TOP FIVE CAUSES OF INJURIES for Trust members, and these injuries can be serious. Studies show that successful Safe Patient Handling (SPH) programs decrease employee injuries and protect individuals. During this workshop, we will review essential components of the program and discuss how to audit the SPH program. We will also discuss how to assess employees' core competencies and track the program's success. Attendees will leave with the ability to audit their Safe Patient Handling program and enhance the program. This information will help you reduce SPH injuries and update your program to reduce employee injuries.
