According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), falls to a lower level is the third leading cause of workplace fatalities, while falls on the same level is the fourth leading event resulting in DART cases. Additionally, here at the Trust, Slip/Trip/Fall is our #1loss source over the past 3 years, generating 605 claims and over $3 million dollars in costs.
For working adults, depending on the industry, falls can be the leading cause of death. Research has shown that most of these injuries can be prevented.
Taught by Trust staff, this interactive education program will help you recognize slip, trip and fall hazards in the workplace and teach you how to eliminate and reduce these types of injuries leading to a reduction in Workers’ Compensation costs.
We’ll also have a special guest speaker, Marianne Bonito from Federal OSHA, to speak about Ladder Safety!
