Taught by Trust staff, this NEW program will help your company understand how facility and operational inspections should not just be viewed as “checking off the box”, but how they ensure your safety program is more proactive than reactive!  An inspection allows you and your staff to identify hazards and loss exposures…BEFORE they turn into accidents and injuries. Attendees will be provided with sample inspection forms to guide you through a focused evaluation of your operations and allow you to address exposures before they become problems.  In addition to physical hazards and exposures, the program also addresses behavioral and situational exposures, so you can uncover and address the hazards.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the benefits of a solid inspection program
  • Determine who should conduct inspections, when and how
  • Use the sample inspection forms to conduct a thorough inspection
  • Be able to train your staff to conduct thorough, meaningful inspections
  • Motivate staff to understand why these are an important part of your Risk Management program
  • Add another tool to your tool box in becoming a more proactive, safety-oriented organization
  • Improve your safety culture through empowering your staff to identify and address impediments to accomplishing your company’s mission

Anyone in the organization who has the responsibility to develop, complete and manage inspections for the organization including organizations with “4 walls” and in the community such as VNAs, Home Companion agencies, social services and group homes
