*De-Escalation Techniques In Crisis Situations For Residential Child Care Facilities

September 19, 2008 (9:00 A.M. - Noon)

This seminar introduces various approaches and techniques to help de-escalate potential crisis, reduce potential and actual injury to children and staff, and teach young people in residential settings appropriate coping skills.

Management of Aggressive Behavior (Moab) For Community Organizations

September 25, 2008 (9:00a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

Fee $150

This seminar is an in-depth program which teaches individuals how to recognize, reduce and manage violent and aggressive behavior. September 25 presents strategies for preventing and diffusing aggressive behavior while September 26 takes it one step further with strategies for controlling and restraining aggressive behavior and managing physical confrontations.

Application has been submitted to the Connecticut Nurses’ Association for approval of nursing continuing education credit (Contact hours).

CNA is an Accredited Approver of nursing continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training For Supervisors

October 16, 2008 (9:00 A.M. - Noon)

This program conducted by Letizia, Ambrose & Falls, will meet the requirements of the law that requires all to be properly trained. The program will provide a complete understanding of the various areas of sexual harassment; including how employers should investigate a sexual harassment claim and how to avoid liability by acting promptly to address any sexual harassment in the workplace.

October 23, 2008 (9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)

This program is essential for all claims and loss control contacts who partner with the Trust. Trust staff will show you how to manage claims successfully, and reduce your company’s workers’ compensation costs. You will also learn about essential programs to control employee injuries in your organization.

National Safety Council Defensive Driving 4-Hour Course

November 18, 2008 (8:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.)

Fee $50

This recognized National Safety Council course, taught by certified NSC instructors provides practical defensive driving strategies to reduce collisions, related injuries, fatalities and costs.
4.0 contact hours certificate is provided.
