The Workers’ Compensation Trust is a comprehensive workers’ compensation insurance program designed to meet the unique needs of the Connecticut healthcare industry. The Trust was formed in 1981 for the sole purpose of providing a cost-effective alternative to the traditional insurance market for healthcare employers in the State. As an Employer Mutual Association, the Trust has been able to return over $20,550,000 in premiums back to members as a result of our successful efforts in controlling the cost of workers’ compensation claims. All services, including claims administration, managed care and loss control, are provided from our convenient Wallingford location.

The Trust membership consists of over 400 employers representing over 50,000 employees in the following healthcare sectors: ambulance companies, assisted living centers, charitable organizations, home health agencies, hospitals, group homes, long term care facilities, medical services, personnel agencies, rehabilitation centers, retirement living centers, school for mentally, physically and emotionally challenged, and visiting nurse services.
