2011 Premium Return Declared

January 23, 2012

The Trust is please to announce that the Board of Directors has declared a $550,000 premium return for 2011. Individual premium return payments are based on members’ proportionate share of the entire Trust premium for 2011, membership history in the past five preceding years, and loss ratio for each of those years. With the distribution, the Trust has now returned more than $20,550,000 to it’s members.

OSHA Clarification of Employer Duty

A New Study on Obesity and Workers Compensation

July 13, 2007

A recent study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine determined that there is a relationship between excess body mass index (BMI) and the number and type of workers compensation claims, associated costs, and lost workdays. BMI is calculated as weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared.
